About the Artist

Daisy-Anne Dickson is an abstract artist based just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, whose work weaves intuitive and expressionistic abstraction with the art of storytelling. Her paintings explore themes of brokenness, healing, growth, renewal, and restoration, emphasizing layers, texture, motion, and color to craft a language uniquely her own. A hallmark of Daisy-Anne’s practice is her commitment to salvaging discarded, surplus, or broken materials, repurposing them into artworks that mirror her themes of transformation and renewal.
Healing is a central thread in both Daisy-Anne’s life and art. With formal training in oil painting and a BA from Oglethorpe University, she later pursued a degree in nursing while raising her family. She continues to balance her dual passions, working part-time as a registered nurse in surgical services while dedicating herself to her full-time career as an artist. This duality enriches her creative process, which often reflects the interplay between polarities such as life and death, decay and restoration.
Daisy-Anne’s love for science is evident in her evolving experimental techniques and innovative use of materials, which push the boundaries of abstraction. She is a member artist of the Urban Art Collective in Chamblee, GA, and her work has been showcased in solo and duo exhibitions in Atlanta and New York, as well as group exhibitions at esteemed venues including Cat Eye Creative, Kai Lin Gallery, Gallery Chimera, I.D.E.A. Gallery, and Agnes Scott College. Her practice and perspective have been featured in prominent press outlets such as Canvas Rebel and VoyageATL, as well as on The Art Coaching Podcast.
Through her art, Daisy-Anne continues to explore and celebrate the beauty of imperfection, inviting viewers into a dialogue of renewal and restoration.
“I love the idea of bringing new life to something. The idea that nothing is destroyed and nothing is created, but simply transformed. This is how my art gives me hope and helps me to see the beauty in everything.”
Thank you for joining me in the pursuit of creativity,
