Clean Slate Series

This series was inspired by a deep desire to wash away the past, and start anew. Their intention was to salvage the bones and foundation of previous work, and build something more meaningful. First created during a very tumultuous time in my life, the idea of being able to start over was a saving grace for me. I needed to find a place where I could let go of the people, things and ideas not meant for me. The first two works of these series, Clean Slate and Wipe Out, were created in a desperate frenzy of hurt and anger I had bottled up for far too long. I finally came to a crossroads where I just needed to knock down the past and create some something completely new and different—and in complete solitude. No video time lapse or progress photos were taken of these because it was my time alone, to meditate and heal with my thoughts and emotions.
