Laced Series

This growing series of paintings are created on the stretched fabric of clothing and other traditional textile materials, used in a non-traditional way. There is a deliberate contrast of traditional and contemporary: the use of embroidered lace fabrics and an application of expressionistic and heavy textured applications of paint. The elements of transparency and highly constructed opaqueness are also juxtaposed here.
