Black Out Days
This painting attempts to convey parts of our lives we separate and detach from due to self evolution, growth and healing. As we look back, we may feel like we don’t even recognize who we were during that dark period. It feels almost out-of-body, like you were the witness to that period of your life, rather than the one who lived it. Also partially inspired by the lyrics of the same song title, by the band Phantogram.
This large scale abstract features a background of glossy black textured brush marks, accented with rose gold. Layered on top is large of warm ivory and classic gold lend to a feeling of ever growing peace.
Measurements:
30” x 40” x 1.5”, inks, latex house paints, and spray paints on canvas. Framed with natural kiln dried Douglas fir.
Wired to display vertically or horizontally.
